The main "regular" globe manufacturers in the US now are Cram (part of Herff Jones) http://www.herffjones.com/index.cfm?objectid=E9594FE0-D509-11DE-8774000BCD0E4B8D and Replogle http://www.replogleglobes.com/. Both are highly reputable. National Geographic also produces globes (manufactured by others) http://www.natgeomaps.com/Reference-Atlases.html. -- Nat Case, Head of Production *HEDBERG MAPS, INC.* Creative Cartographic and Marketing Solutions hedbergmaps.com <http://www.hedbergmaps.com> 612-706-9686 (direct: 612-548-5672) 1500 Jackson St NE, Suite 314 Minneapolis, MN 55413 USA On 12/16/11 12:09 PM, Angie Cope, American Geographical Society Library, UW Milwaukee wrote: > -------- Original Message -------- > Subject: Globe purchase recommendations? > Date: Fri, 16 Dec 2011 10:55:36 -0700 > From: Ken Rockwell <[log in to unmask]> > To: [log in to unmask] <[log in to unmask]> > > > > I have been asked by the head of our Knowledge Commons (i.e., > “Reference”) for recommendations on purchasing a good globe for display > and reference.
