Personally,
I haven’t checked the loose-leaf (issued in installments)
folio thematic Atlas van Nederland (The Hague,
1963-79), whose copy in RGS-IBG’s Map Collection
(shelf-mark, as can be seen from the Society’s OPAC: 1.A.73)
is not immediately to hand . . .
Has
anyone yet directly contacted any of (at least, my) Dutch
map curator colleagues - e.g., at Amsterdam University,
Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, Utrecht University, Leiden
University, etc.? For advice, at least, if not a scan.

I
found an article in “Geologie en Mijnbouw” (v. 61, no. 4,
p. 357-395) called “Research on the coal beneath the
Netherlands.” Figure 3 shows “Depth of top coal-bearing
Carboniferous in the Netherlands.” I can scan the page
with the map and email to you, or your patron can request
the article via ILL. Just let me know if he wants the
scan.

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
All,
My
patron who’s been researching coal field of Europe
wanted me to thank everyone who’s provided resources for
his paper, especially those who had materials on Great
Britain and Belgium. He is still searching for more
information about coal resources in the other countries,
particularly the Netherlands as he’s decided to contrast
the Netherlands with Great Britain for his paper.
Thanks,
Dennis

All,
I
have a patron researching coalfields in Great Britain,
France, Belgium and the Netherlands from the early 19th
century through mid 20th and he would like
some maps to include in his report. I don’t have
anything in my collection but found these two maps
online: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:British.coalfields.19th.century.jpg
and http://etc.usf.edu/maps/pages/7200/7264/7264z.htm.
Also looking through David Rumsey in the meantime.
Wondering if anyone has maps for those areas scanned for
their collection or print maps where I could get scanned
copies?
Thanks,
Dennis
