We are in the process of a big cataloging project trying to find records
with OCLC numbers for our fly records for our government documents. I
have noticed some searching weirdness with Connexion.
You would think that if you did a title search for a particular title
that you would get every record that pertained to it especially since
there is always a 245 field with each record. However, that is not the
case. If I cannot find an adequate record, I have to do a SuDocs call
number search. Most of the time, I will find a good record there but
for some reason, it did not show up on the title search. If I cannot
find a good record by doing a SuDocs search, I do a 3,2,2,1 search and I
might find it there.
I just don't understand the discrepency of the search results. The
titles are exactly the same but you get different results.

Connexion Client users sometimes encounter search results they do not
expect, and more times than not it is due to a search option being
checked (or not) that went unnoticed.
So, here is a rudimentary overview of the Search WorldCat pop-up window
in the Client version 2.4 of Connexion. For more detailed information

Connexion Client – searching issues to always be aware of:

session of Connexion Client at a time, this can be especially helpful if
you use more than one authorization number (e.g. Enhance Regular and
NACO Regular). Regardless, the settings for the last session that you
close will be the settings that open the next time.
