Dear Michael,
I believe Burroughs still makes extra large flat files that may work for you. They make a case with external dimensions of 92-inches by 61-inches. Super expensive, of course. If you can't find it from Gaylord or such, try the museum supplies catalogs.

Subject: LARGE flat files/map cases

Anybody know where I might find XL map cases? I want to store flat and, preferably, unfolded, a series of maps that are roughly 4' x 6'. There are several flat file retailers out there (Mayline, Safco, etc.) but nobody seems to advertise anything that large.

There's a 19-year-old reference in the Maps-l archives to oversized cases (inside drawer dimension: 64"x50") being bought by UHawai'i from Foster Mfg. Co, but that company (now Foster Keencut, I think) doesn't currently advertise anything that large.

Any ideas? Anybody already have something that large?

Thanks.
