Looking in our catalog, I don’t find anything earlier than the 1930s.

Sorry.

Hello all,

Trick question for Friday:  We’re looking for an out of copyright data source or print map that shows the surface water and marshes in the vicinity of Brunn and Austerlitz in the Austrian Empire around 1805. This is currently Brno and Slavkov U Brna in the Czech Republic.  See URL for a modern map of the area.

We’d settle for a more recent map of the area, as long as it’s out of copyright.

I’ve looked through our historic map collection and, no surprise, our topos of the Czech Republic/Czechoslovakia/Austro-Hungarian Empire are slim.  Naturally we don’t have the area we need.

Any assistance/leads would be helpful.
