Subject: [carto-soc] Call for papers: GeoCart'2014: ANZMapS Conference / ICA Symposium on Cartography for Australasia and Oceania
The seventh National Cartographic Conference GeoCart'2014 / 42nd ANZMapS conference / 3rd ICA Regional Symposium on Cartography for Australasia and Oceania will be running together this year and convene in Auckland, 3 to 5 September 2014. It will be held at the outstanding facilities of The University of Auckland in the City of Sails - Auckland, New Zealand.
The Conference is jointly organised by the New Zealand Cartographic Society and the Australia and New Zealand Map Society, and is endorsed by the International Cartographic Association (ICA).
Keynote Speakers include:
- Kenneth Field, ESRI, USA
- Kristoffer Kristiansen, Norwegian Mapping Authority, Norway
- G. Allen Mawer, Australia
Special Presentation by
- Georg Gartner, President of the ICA, Austria
Abstract submissions are now invited on any topic in cartography, Map curatorship, History of cartography or exploration, geovisualisation and Geographical Information Science, or related disciplines, covering work of a professional and /or academic nature. The Conference will be preceded by the Map Design with ArcGIS: Mapping the 3rd Dimension Workshop, 1st – 2nd September 2014, organised by the New Zealand Cartographic Society within its EduCart initiative. It is the continuation of the highly successful Workshops run in 2010 and 2012.
