Come and join professional librarians, information specialists, and students in library and information science for "Geoscience Librarianship 101" -- a free one day seminar on geoscience librarianship, held in conjunction with the annual meeting of the Geological Society of America for the ninth consecutive year. The workshop sponsored by the Geoscience Information Society will be held on October 18, 2014, from 9:00 a.m.- 4:00 p.m.

The seminar will provide an opportunity to meet others working in geoscience libraries  and include presentations by experienced librarians on  collection development, reference, instructional services , maps and GIS. Participation in this offsite, pre-meeting event does not require registration for the GSA Annual Meeting. 

 Advance registration will be required and space is limited, but the seminar is free of charge.
