Our library has been offered 9"x9" ortho photos of our county.  They have been scanned and are easily available.  What concerns me is that printing off the photos and trying to use these as stereo pairs will not work - or at least work as well as the photos.  Here's what the site says:

Please Note: Full resolution images can be quite large (~4Mb for 600 DPI images and ~13 mb for a 1200 DPI image) and may take several minutes to display over a slow network connection. To save a file directly to disk right-click on the link above and choose the "Save as..." or "Save Target As..." option.

Any thoughts on this?  Am I being unduly concerned?  I know there will be little use of this collection but I would hate to pass on it, if the scanned images really won't work well.
