Just wonder if this may be of interest to anyone. Apologies if you have
received the information already. BGS have already published a facsimile of
the memoir, but this edition promises additional input from Smith 'scholars'
Hugh Torrens & Tom Sharpe.

Dear All,

The History of Geology Group (HOGG) plans to reproduce a limited edition of
William Smith's 1815 memoir that accompanied the publication of his famous
map.

In true Smithian tradition HOGG is seeking subscribers whose names will then
be included in the volume. The deadline for expressing your interest in
subscribing to this edition is 6 March 2015. Full details of how to do that
can be found on the HOGG website
<http://historyofgeologygroup.co.uk/limited-edition-of-william-smiths-1815-m
emoir/> .

Best wishes,

John Henry
