Hi all - Looks like it's this collectible: http://www.doublequicktime.com/item/description/id/61650887 The "Talking Map of the World" + record. Wonder what it says to you? Anyone still have a 45rpm record player? It's kind of a relief that it isn't an exploration route of some kind [😊] Naomi Heiser Jerry Crail Johnson Earth Sciences & Map Library CB 184 University of Colorado Boulder, CO 80309 303-492-4966 [log in to unmask] http://ucblibraries.colorado.edu/map/ ________________________________ From: Maps-L: Map Librarians, etc. <[log in to unmask]> on behalf of Rick Grapes <[log in to unmask]> Sent: Monday, June 15, 2015 12:34 PM To: [log in to unmask] Subject: World map with strange routing printed on it Hi all, OK, I’ll try sending you this image again. Previously it was too big for attachment. This is the image of a Hammond world map I asked about earlier, that shows some kind of routing from the southeast pacific, eventually making its way to Bangladesh. If anyone has any ideas of what historical even this routing may represent, your wisdom would be really appreciated. Maybe it’s some kind of bird migration. I have no clue. Thanks again, Rick Grapes BYU Map Collection
