Description: Data visualization, the use of graphical techniques to better communicate complex geographic
and statistical information, is used to interpret the results of data analysis more clearly and to a wider audience. These techniques are being used by a wide range of disciplines. What are the implications of these tools and techniques for library users?
Part one of the program describes the landscape of data visualization, library services, and patron expectations; part two offers an overview of available tools, criteria for tools and datasets, and an open discussion about libraries' services.
