OCLC has now installed changes related to the OCLC-MARC Update 2015.  This update implements MARC 21 Bibliographic and Holdings format changes announced by the Library of Congress in MARC 21 Updates Number 19 (October 2014; http://www.loc.gov/marc/marc21_update19_online.html) and Number 20 (April 2015; http://www.loc.gov/marc/marc21_update20_online.html), as well as all MARC codes announced by the Library of Congress between July 2014 and June 2015.  In addition, OCLC has validated subfields $8 (Field Link and Sequence Number) in some 46 Bibliographic fields.

All details are available in OCLC Technical Bulletin 265:  OCLC-MARC Format Update 2015 (https://www.oclc.org/support/services/worldcat/documentation/tb/265.en.html).

Please note that the implementation of all MARC 21 Authority elements must be coordinated with the Library of Congress and the Program for Cooperative Cataloging.  As noted in TB 265, Name Authority Cooperative (NACO) participants should not attempt to use any of the Authority format changes at this time because they have not been installed or validated.  LC, PCC, and OCLC will announce the implementation of these elements for use in name and subject authority records at a future date.
