Kathleen;
Check out Posterhanger.com - they have some that I think would work quite
well - single-person set-up, etc. They are designed to hang from a
nail, but I've use a little metal hook in each end of the metal rods with
fishing line and it works great. Sizes up to 72" ($80 + free
shipping).
Displays2go.com has some inexpensive all-one-piece plastic rail/clips but
I don't think they have them bigger than 36" Their phone is

I have a portable tripod display
which can be moved around the unit or folded up and circulated to
patrons. I enjoy choosing interesting maps from the collection for
display. But I haven’t yet found an elegant way to hang them.
Is there a system that will make them hangable without poking holes in
the maps?
You can see in the picture below that the top of the tripod rack is
designed for a cord. I took 2 strips of wood from a Menards and
used office paper clamps and kitchen twine to rig together a hanging
system. Ideally there would be a second bar at the bottom to keep
it flat and straight. It works but it doesn’t look impressive and
it takes two pairs of hands to get everything lined up right.
Do you know of a commercial system that takes a plain paper map and
allows it to hang by a cord? It would need to be 42” to 60”
wide. Most of the hanging systems I’ve seen are designed for wall
display (as you can see in the background).
Thank you in advance for your ideas,
