Recently someone brought this site to my attention. It is very handy and has a good interface. I have already used it to help a patron’s research.
It’s called:
Old Maps Online
http://www.oldmapsonline.org/
Using a map, you move a selection box over the area of interest and a list of maps for that area is presented. You can view and download copies. The main maps are USGS topographic maps.
I will add a better review and description in the next issue of
base line.
