In July 2017 the International Cartographic Association is holding their
annual meeting in Washington D.C. As part of this meeting the *Commission
on Cartographic Heritage in the Digital Age* is hosting a one day
pre-conference workshop on “Mapping Tools for Non-Mapping Experts:
Incorporating Geospatial Visualization Tools in Libraries.“ This session
will highlight how librarians can easily incorporate user friendly
geospatial visualization tools into their work – whether that is
instruction sessions, workshops for faculty, graduate students or the
community or other projects within your library.

If you are a librarian who has incorporated mapping tools, such as CartoDB,
Leaflet or Neatline, into your library instruction, workshops or other
projects, then please consider submitting a proposal for a presentation at
the pre-conference.

Submission deadline is August 24, 2016. The submission should include the
following information: a title and short abstract for your presentation and
a short bio of the speakers. Please submit your proposals to Marcy Bidney (
[log in to unmask]). Notifications will be made by August 26, 2016.
