This place, Lyudinovo, is in Russia. Bear in mind that most Bulgarian names don’t have much in common with the Russian ones. Honestly, none of these two sound Bulgarian. However, it turns out that in our offsite
storage facility we should have a work, loosely translated as “Dictionary of the populated places in Bulgaria 1878-1987.” 1878 is when Bulgaria was liberated from Ottoman rule as a result of a Russo-Turkish war. Anyway, I have requested it and will check the
exact names (or some that are similar.) Dennis, maybe you can write me privately and we’ll see whether I can help you.

Hello Everyone,
I have a patron doing some genealogical research and would like to verify the location of two cities in Bulgaria around the 20th century. Immigration papers have the cities listed as
Sarba, Bulgaria around 1898, and Lunedovo, Bulgaria around 1913. I haven’t been able to locate anything online so I was wondering if there was a gazetteer or some other resource to verify the spelling
of each and whether the towns still exist.
