At one time NOAA served up digital versions of a good number of the International Nautical Charts produced by NGA/NIMA/DMA. However, the data used to create many of the maps are subject to international copyright and license agreements. Rather than untangle copyright issues for each map produced by another agency, NOAA took down the international charts. At least that's my understanding.... In contemplating the future of our collection of worldwide nautical charts, I've spoken to a few people who told me that the US-made nautical charts are online. Upon investigating, I believe that means only the charts of the US waters, and I'd like to verify that. For instance, I have in hand NIMA chart 61170, Porto do Ibo to Porto de Moçambique dated May 30, 1998. I'm not finding that online anywhere. Is there a resource I'm unaware of?
