Hi Rick,

I worked a lot on the 1:200,000 Generalkarte. The problem is that for the 265 boxes of the sheet index I have cataloged more than 3700 different sheets published before 1918. I found more than 20 different sheets for several boxes.

These sheets are scattered in more than 20 european map libraries and there are few reproductions. However, I have reproductions in 300 DPI for an almost complete set (most of the sheets dates from the end of the period). If your customer is interested he can contact me directly.

Your patron can also consult this paper :

Objet : Generalkarte von Mitteleuropa 1:200.000

Hi all,

I have a patron who is looking for high res images of the “Generalkarte von Mitteleuropa 1:200.000”.  He has already looked at the images displayed via Wikipedia.  They are not clear enough for him.  I thought they looked pretty good.  But that said, does anyone know of a source with some better res. digital images of this multi sheet set?  Not an easy request.

Thanks,

Rick Grapes
