Nope, not a duplicate of the UVa map. --Louise From: Ratliff, Louise Sent: Monday, December 04, 2017 7:30 AM To: [log in to unmask] Subject: RE: World War One battlefield map Hi Jim, I agree with Joel that the monetary value is unknown. However, the map itself is probably scarce because most of these have been lost or destroyed over the years. Also, without seeing the UVa map, it’s hard to know if it is an exact duplicate, but it probably is. It is certainly worth preserving, but probably not worth a lot of money. --Louise Louise Ratliff Social Sciences and Map Catalog Librarian UCLA Library Cataloging & Metadata Center BOX 957230, Life Science Bldg-Room 2400 Los Angeles, CA 90095-7230 (310)206-5853 From: Maps-L: Map Librarians, etc. [mailto:[log in to unmask]] On Behalf Of Joel Kovarsky Sent: Monday, December 04, 2017 6:36 AM To: [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]> Subject: Re: World War One battlefield map Monetary value is difficult to assess. He would like to know if it is rare and/or valuable. The base map is “Carte de France 1:600,000.” Do any of you have similar maps in your collections, or have knowledge of its value / rarity?
