Dear all

This message is forwarded from Lis-Map and Carto-Soc lists. Can anyone help with this Greek series covering Turkey?

Many thanks

Subject: Greek 1:250,000 maps (1919-1921)

Dear Lis-Mappers and Carto-Soccers,

On behalf of an academic colleague, we are trying to locate a series of maps covering Asia Minor/Turkey produced by the Greek Army General Staff between 1919 and 1921 at 1:250,000 scale. In particular, we would like to find those sheets named ...
Konstantinoupolis (ΚΩΝΣΤΑΝΤΙΝΟΥΠΟΛΙΣ)
Kydon kai Aibali (ΚΥΔΩΝ ΚΑΙ ΑΪΒΑΛΙ)
Erzeroum (ΕΡΖΕΡΟΥΜ)
Smyrne (ΣΜΥΡΝΗ)
Aziziegkeroun (ΑΖΙΖΕΓΚΕΡΟΥΝ)
Alikarnassos (ΑΛΙΚΑΡΝΑΣΣΟΣ)
Alaia (ΑΛΑΙΑ)
Ermenek (ΕΡΜΕΝΕΚ)

Sheets are not numbered.
For most sheets there is no series title, although for the north-east there is a title, "Pontos".
All sheets were issued with names, etc. marked in Greek script, but at least some sheets were also issued with names marked in Western European script.

Collections which have been searched to date, and other maps from this series identified are:

Berlin - Staatsbibliothek zu Berlin
Munich - Bayerisches Staatsbibliothek
Oxford - Bodleian Library

Any leads would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance,
Nick
