This seems like an excellent idea. I'm embarrassed to say I don't even
know if our library does this! I think certain recreational maps, in
particular Toms maps and many National Forest maps, are more than tough
enough to stand up to repeated lending. I wonder if there's a model for
digital borrowing that could be implemented via something like the
Avenza PDF Maps app as well?
