Subject: RE: ["EXLIBRIS-L"] Manuscript maps queryDear Allison,
I had a browse around and came across this manuscript description from the catalogue of the Admiralty Library collections (GB 1070) at the Royal Naval Museum:
"MSS 362. Observations in the West Indies. 1717' A single volume by Captain Bartholomew Candler (fl. 1716-1718) of HMS Winchelsea, 1716-1718. The volume includes journal entries, sailing instructions, coastal elevations and charts made on passage via Madiera to the Carribean. Submitted to the Admiralty. 480mm x 430mm. Previous printed book reference: Vol 7. No. 120 in 1875 list of mss."
Could this be it?
Best wishes
Sara
