Greetings Everyone!
(Apologies for cross-posting.)
It is that time of the year. We are looking for submissions for the Western Association of
the Map Libraries’ (WAML) Quarterly, Information
Bulletin (IB) Volume 50 issue 2 (March 2019).
Have you completed a project you are working on/finished that is associated with Maps or GIS, or a presentation at one of the WAML annual conferences in the past,
another conference you would like to share? Turn it into an article and submit it to the WAML IB. We want to read about
it! It's a great place to submit a long or short article to share with your colleagues and contribute to our community if practice.
If you would like to submit, please email me ([log in to unmask]) directly with a title and a small
2 – 3 sentence abstracts by Feb 10th, 2019. Article deadline is Sunday, Feb. 24th, 2019. If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to
contact me. You do not have to be a WAML member to submit an article. See below for Author instructions and info about
the IB.
The Western Association of Map Libraries Information Bulletin publishes feature
articles, photoessays, reviews, association business and selected news and notes related to all forms of cartographic information, including maps, spatial data, GIS, and all aspects of map librarianship. Articles are invited
that will address the interests of the publication’s audience. Individuals are encouraged to submit unsolicited articles for consideration. Click on the link for more instructions.
The Information Bulletin (IB)
is the official journal of the Western
Association of Map Libraries. The IB is an open access journal issued three times each year: Issue number 1 in November, Issue number 2 in March, and Issue
number 3 in July. Issues beginning with Volume 46, number 1 (November 2014) are available online only. Issues prior to Volume 46, number 1 were published in paper format. All online content is available at no charge.
All the best,
