Here is the link for the Library of Congress's information on the webinar: https://www.loc.gov/rr/program/orientation.html?loclr=eadrs <https://www.loc.gov/rr/program/orientation.html?loclr=eadrs> How can you access this wealth of information? What resources and services can assist you? This program provides an overview of the Library of Congress’s website, which serves as the portal to several million digital and digitized multimedia collection items—along with records for millions of additional physical holdings. As an introduction to the Library of Congress’s diverse online resources, the webinar highlights featured collection content as well as navigation and research strategies. Orientations are held in real time via webinar software, which allows participants from around the country and the world to join us. Throughout the program, there are opportunities to ask questions, try out search tools, sample multimedia primary source materials online, and become familiar with the digital formats on the Library's website. Hi there experienced LOC users and newbies - I took this webinar and found it very helpful. Especially helpful for experienced users of Library of Congress (LOC) site (does not cover Congress.gov). Helpful because I have been using the Library of Congress (LOC) site since it first went on the web and my searches were not working as they once did. This new LOC.gov platform is structured differently and does not have exactly the same functionality as previous sites. Disclaimer: Speaking only for myself and not for any: library; state agency; employer; website; federal agency; webinar creator; webinar presenter; or any other organization or person. I have no connection to the Library of Congress (other than a love of their website - but even that should not be considered an endorsement). Whew - I think I covered it all.
