Reporting to the Head of the Cataloging & Metadata Unit in the Cataloging & Database Integrity Department, the Maps Cataloging Specialist is responsible for description, subject analysis, and classification of items in the Gwen Curtis Maps Collection housed in the Science/Engineering Library. Additional responsibilities include preservation of the collection, collection development, assisting with reference needs related to the collection, and maintaining one or more research guides.

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities |
Experience with an integrated library system, prefer Alma/Primo; experience with OCLC; ability to read and interpret technical aspects of maps; and prefer experience with Map Cataloging. |
