This is a great resource. I have been using it in instruction classes for many years because of the depth of data that can be gathered for each site.

What is nice too, is you can show the area near where you are teaching so students and educators have a location that they can relate to. It gets their interest to know what is happening in their neighborhood.

I am not sure if anyone else has discovered this site from the EPA. It is an interactive mapping site what includes over 400 different data sources, It provides information about ecosystems and how they benefit people. You can find it at: https://www.epa.gov/enviroatlas.
