Over the years, the AGSL has recorded and posted the recordings of speakers. With changes in servers and software I can only track down two that were placed at youtube. Good old youtube.

If you'd like to look at a couple talks we had ... here you go. Also, please share your online presentations.

1)Recording of the 2019 Arthur Holzheimer Maps & America Lecture, the 30th annual Maps and America lecture!

Chet Van Duzer, Independent Researcher, Depicting and Concealing Unknown Regions at the Northern Limits of North America on Early Maps

Lauren Beck, Professor of Hispanic Studies, Mount Allison University Indigenous and European Visualizations of the North West Passage

I was able to get the podcasts to work for the first two.

The third link is to the British Library. Those "podcasts" are a little less clear. It looks like audio and virtual tours are available but I didn't follow any of those to see if they worked.

I'm working on a PC with Windows 10. Perhaps it's your operating system or something.

Good luck.

Angie

I couldn't get live links for any of the podcasts but maybe it's just me. Did anyone else try and was successful?

If you're home and pulled away from your regular duties, this may be an opportunity to learn about the history of cartography.

Hello Brian:

I've done a few podcasts on the history of cartography lately. Here are two, then a third from the British Library Map Room:

New Books Network interview for New Books in American Studies, Carrie Lane, December 20 2019. https://newbooksnetwork.com/susan-schulten-a-history-of-american-in-100-...<https://newbooksnetwork.com/susan-schulten-a-history-of-american-in-100-maps-u-chicago-press-2018/>

The British Library also has a map podcast.
