Loyola University Chicago is hiring a Public Health Librarian with significant GIS responsibilities.



This position will serve as library liaison for undergraduate programs in the Parkinson School of Health Sciences and Public Health (PSHSPH) and other selected academic departments and programs; provide cross-disciplinary support for quantitative and geospatially-informed teaching and scholarship; develop, deliver, and assess instruction and other information literacy initiatives; consult with and provide support for student and faculty researchers throughout the research lifecycle; and identify, acquire, and promote scholarly resources to support curricular and research needs. This position also supports general research and learning needs of the university, including information literacy instruction for first year students, and participates in other library programming and information services.



Responsibilities include: Serving as the main point of contact between the University Libraries and the graduate certificate program in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) in the Institute for Environmental Sustainability (IES). Provide data, GIS, and statistical analysis support, through consultations and instruction, including skills-building workshops for faculty, students, staff, and others.



This is a non-tenured library faculty position with opportunities for promotion. The successful candidate will be based on the Lake Shore campus in Rogers Park, but with responsibilities on both the Lake Shore and Water Tower campuses.
