Full time tenure track position: Data/GIS Librarian (Saskatoon, SK, Canada).

We are looking for an enthusiastic colleague to join our team, engaging across campus to support teaching, learning, and research in this growing area. Research and publishing is an expectation of this position, and you will be well supported by colleagues and the work infrastructure. 20% of your time as a pre-tenured librarian is devoted to research; and once tenured, you are eligible for sabbatical leaves. USask faculty members enjoy an excellent salary and benefits package. Come join our team!

USask is a member of the Canadian U15 group of research intensive universities, and is the largest university in the province with a wide range of professional programs and graduate degrees. Saskatoon is one of the sunniest cites, is medium-sized, with a lovely river valley running through it and public trails all along the river. It is known as the "City of Bridges," the "Paris of the Prairies," and was the only Canadian city named in the New York Times 2018 list of 52 places to visit. The city has an active arts scene (including the new Remai Modern Art Gallery, Shakespeare on the Saskatchewan, the Saskatoon Symphony Orchestra, Persephone Theatre, and the Wonderhub Children’s Museum). BC Living calls Saskatoon the “new foodie capital.” If you are an outdoors person, the camping and fishing in Northern Saskatchewan is world-class and the Northern Lights abound. Saskatoon is also one of Canada’s sunniest cities, with more than 315 days a year with bright sunshine.
