The official announcement:

We trying to reach as many map collections of all sorts, sizes and types across the U.S. to have them add "map" collection information to a growing tool that will be useful to anyone searching for cartographic resources for research or just for fun. If your Government Docs collection includes maps (whether through the FDLP or not) please fill out our Survey tool (see link below or at the website on the left side); if you personally do not work with cartographic resources but someone in your library/institution does please forward this on to them! The more entries we have the more useful this tool becomes.

Just so ya know, the Survey tool has two parts to it -- if you would simply like to provide contact and location information and not worry about sharing details such as size and strength of collection the first "page" is brief and shouldn't take more than 5 minutes to fill out. At the end of the first page is an option to continue, if you chose to do so and provide more in-depth detail it shouldn't take more than 10 minutes to complete it as well.

If you have questions or need assistance in filling out the survey use this email address and a member of the Online Guide team will reach out to you:
