Adelaide Hasse, a woman with deep Milwaukee and California roots. Among Adelaide's many achievements SuDocs stands out, of course. And also her title as "Champion Fast Lady Bicycle Rider of Los Angeles." In many ways her career is emblematic of something new--confident women professionals rising into roles where they were able to shine and change the profession. But they were also running into walls.
