Greetings everyone,

Nathan and I would like to announce that we will be stepping down as Co-Editors in Chief of the Journal of Map and Geography Libraries (JMGL) effective January 1, 2023. Taylor and Francis has an active announcement recruiting a new editor(s) if you or someone you know might be interested.

We are proud of what we have been able to accomplish during our five years: journal usage metrics and citation scores have increased consistently over our tenure while the time to acceptance and publication has been stable. We also feel that the quality of papers published has remained high and we are excited to publish the last volume later this year that has some great papers in it!

And on that note, we are doing an open call for papers for our final issue volume 18, issue 3. If you’ve been sitting on an idea for an article, have one in the works that you need to get back to, please submit it! The deadline for submission is October 22, 2022.
