Depending on your collection and population don’t forget atlases off the Earth. Constellation books don’t age but maybe some are getting worn or just look old. Also consider books showing the constellations of different cultures. The Moon and the rest of the Solar System have been photographed and mapped quite a bit recently. The lunar atlases by Spudis or Wood are both worth a look. Stooke has a recent atlas of Mars. Also if you have a local astronomy group consider those upcoming year in the night sky books. Maybe give them a call and see which they prefer. Most folks will have a star chart app on their phone, but if you want to go old school a planisphere is something to consider.
