    Darius,
    I have the National Geographic Atlas at home. It is far less U.S.
    oriented than in the past, though its bias is still there. There
    are some wonderful charts and graphics on envronmental stuff and
    some classic remote sensing/aerial photography in stunning color.
    For in depth scholarly place finding, though, the London Times
    Atlas ranks as tops. For families, NGM is great. Pretty up to
    date. One can never know from day to day in some regions...
