Several messages on sources for letter-size maps.-----Johnnie ----------------------------------------- Wed, 22 Sep 93 12:06:45 PDT Dave Gomberg <GOMBERG@UCSFVM> Re: Seeking letter-size county outline maps for each state I believe there are maps by state with county boundaries packaged as part of SAS (the Statistical Analysis System), they are used as sample graphic data. You might want to ask your local SAS guru. Dave Dave Gomberg, role model for those who don't ask much in their fantasy lives. Also the Township Atlas of the United States by Andriot has these maps. ------------------------------------------------ Wed, 22 Sep 1993 17:45:15 -0400 (EDT) Stephen W Rogers <[log in to unmask]> Re: Seeking letter-size county outline maps for each state Alex- Appendix F of the 1988 County and City Data Book has individual state maps with county boundaries and names. This may give you what you need. The book should be available in your general reference and/or gov. documents collection. Steve Rogers Ohio State Univ. -------------------------------------------------- <WALSHOP@BCVMS> RE: Seeking letter-size county outline maps for each state The 1990 Decennial Census of Population and Housing Printed reports and the Census of Agriculture printed reports (last census published is 1987) are excellent sources for 8.5" x 11" size state outline maps, with county boundaries and county seats. Hope that this helps. Jim Walsh Boston College waslhop@bcvms
