----------------------------Original message---------------------------- The USGS Geographic Names Information System (GNIS) CD-ROM is due from the printer in early May. If all is well and done to specifications, it will be available then from the USGS ESIC offices and/or Map Distribution Branch, Denver, Colorado 80225. The cost will be $57. Unfortunately the CD-ROM uses proprietary software and will not be distributed through the GPO library depository program. Michael Noga, UCLA Cartographic Users Advisory Council Rep Liaison to USGS
