----------------------------Original message---------------------------- Thanks to those who responded to my AIDS map request. I thought you might be interested in my findings in addition to those that have appeared on MAPS-L. Lo and behold, one of our faculty members just returned from a first ever conference in Tampa entitled International Symposium on Computer Mapping in Epidemiology and Environmental Health. He has given me a small coloured map (10" x 5") of the world entitled "Global AIDS Relative to Population: A Map Depicting population, total AIDS cases, and AIDS-per-million for the countries of the World". The data sources used were 1994 from WHO Surveillance program (Geneva), CDC Monthly HIV/AIDS Surveillance Report (USA), Surveillance Update: AIDS in Canada-Health Canada. I told him that I would tell the rest of the gang about this and that others would likely want copies and he is willing to accept requests! So please contact Micha Pazner, whose email address is: [log in to unmask] Cheryl Woods Map Library University of Western Ontario London, Canada
