----------------------------Original message---------------------------- Jim, esri is releasing their native mac version of ArcView at the end of this month. call jason at 1-800-447-9778 for advice and tech support. you'll want "avenue" as well, or it may be bundled--it's bundled in their unix version. you'll need it for scripting use of the Tiger files, importing data, etc.. if you dont need the whole academic library bundle of ArcView stuff, mac version might be only $300, and avenue is $300. please keep me posted. LC ----------------------------Original message---------------------------- Folks, I'm planning to acquire a Macintosh Performa 636 to use for computer mapping here in the Map Collection. Just when I think I have things all set, my boss, the Govt. Docs. Librarian, insists that I take possession of the TIGER CDs and make maps with them on the 636. My question is: what software do you recommend we use to translate the TIGER files to something the Mac can read? Thanks in advance.
