While surfing the USGS pages on the world wide web, I came across a
press release, dated August 11,1995, which announces that on August
12, 1995, the price of standard topographic quadrangle map is increasing
to $4.00. They are also initiating a handling fee of $3.50 per mail
order for all products. The price of most other maps is also being
standardized at $4.00 per sheet.

I do have a question about discounts. There has been an unadvertised
50% educational discount. Will this continue and what are the other
discounts? Maybe John Shanton or someone else at USGS can answer this
question.
