Tate <[log in to unmask]> >To: Multiple recipients of list GOVDOC-L <[log in to unmask]> >Subject: TIGER/Line 1994 #6 When doing an inventory of the new series of TIGER/Line 1994 CD-ROMS sponsored by the Dept. of Transportation (TD 1.56/5:CD 94-TGR-#) I found that Hawaii was not listed on any of the CDs. I could have made an educated guess that it was inadvertently left off of the #6 disk since "neighboring" states--AK, CA, OR, & WA are on this disk. I call the Census Bureau and was directed to Larry Carbaugh who works with specialized information services within the bureau and specifically on TIGER CDs and he confirmed that Hawaii is indeed on disk 6. Also I asked him about the postal code UM which I could not verify from any of the Postal Services listings of postal codes. He said that UM is for U.S. Minor Outlying Island (i.e., Midway). I thought govdoc-l readers might be interested in this information. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Vicki L.
