it is in the Mexican state of Guanajuato (GTO),
population in 1970 was 63,937
per Webster's New Geographical Dictionary
(G & C Merriam-Webster 1977.)
San Miguel de Allende in on a rail line between Laredo, Texas and
Mexico City. It has an artist colony, well known Spanish language
school, and is very big with American tourists.
