----------------------------Original message---------------------------- The following is the preliminary information about this year's SoC summer school. The web pages will provide regular updates (so may be worth a bookmark). Any non-members who would like to be added to the mailing list are welcome to email me ([log in to unmask]). ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Society of Cartographers 33rd ANNUAL SUMMER SCHOOL MIDDLESEX UNIVERSITY Mon 1st Sept - Thurs 4th Sept 1997 The 1997 Summer School is due to be held at the Enfield Campus of Middlesex University, which is approximately 8km north of London's city centre. Accomodation will be in the newly built Ted Lewis Hall which is on campus. All accomodation provided will have en suite facilities and communal kitchens. The Hall is a short walk from all facilities. Due to holding a Summer School in London it is proposed to break with tradition and run the Summer School from Monday pm to Thursday am, which will help to keep costs down. Optional accomodation will be available on Sunday evening and Thursday evening, giving delegates the chance to experience London's exciting night life and cultural delights or simply to travel on Sunday evening or Friday morning.
