A picture I saw over the weekend reminded me of the very large US maps
found at the various Sea Worlds.  I've never seen one in person, but they
appear to be 75 meters or so across.
 
A few years ago, the University of Chicago's annual scavenger hunt asked
participants to bring in "a map of the United States at 1:1 scale."
Although an enterprising team tried to submit a diskette that would produce
such a map, the judges ruled against them, as the map request was intended
to be that year's impossible item.
