LC from March 15, 1997 "Administrative Notes"--- Item Lister Now Available on the FDLP Administration Web Site The Library Programs Service (LPS) is pleased to announce the release of Item Lister, a new product on the Federal Depository Library Program (FDLP) Administration Web site, available on the Internet via the GPO Access World Wide Web site at: http://www.access.gpo.gov/su_docs/dpos/fdlppro.html (click on the Tools button, then click on Item Lister) Item Lister offers four options: If you find discrepancies for your library's item number selection and the Item Lister, please contact staff in the Depository Administration Branch: Option 1: Rows and columns of a depository's item number selections and the library's item selection ratio of items selected divided by the total number available. Option 2: Non-selections - rows and columns listing a depository's non-selections. Option 3: All of a depository's selections (Y for Yes) and non-selections (N for No), in rows and columns. Option 4: The same as number 3 above but in a single column. This option is for those who want such a format to simplify downloading and importing of item list data into spreadsheets and databases. Phone: (202) 512-1071 or (202) 512-1153 Fax: (202) 512-1636 or (202) 512-0877 E-mail: [log in to unmask] [log in to unmask] [log in to unmask] Item Lister reflects the latest selection information in DDIS. It will be updated monthly. There is lag time from when a depository submits item number changes on the Amendment of Selections postal card to when those changes are reflected in Item Lister. Depositories should check Item Lister before submitting selection additions and deletions to LPS. Item Lister should also be checked prior to submitting a claim to LPS to verify that a depository is selecting a specific item number. LPS thanks those librarians who offered thoughtful comments and suggestions which were recently incorporated into Item Lister. To offer additional comments and suggestions on how to improve Item Lister or any other aspect of the FDLP Administration Web site, please contact the LPS Electronic Transition Staff: E-mail: [log in to unmask] Phone: (202) 512-1698 Fax: (202) 512-1432
