We just got in three raised relief maps of the UK, produced by a company
called Landshapes, in Kent, UK.  These are not very good raised relief maps,
but they are literally the only ones we have found. By not very good, these
are artistic renditions of the topography; not at all like the LAC or IGN,
ones.  They are more like the old Kistler Graphics ones, but with less than
1/2 the detail.
 
 I would like to hear of any others that are available.
 
The reason for so few maps of the UK is that the OS has not produced its own
(as have the French IGN & Italian IGM) and the OS copyright fee is so high
as to make it impractical for anyone else to do a good one.  Clearly the
Landshapes are not based on OS topography.
 
1)      raised relief map of the UK & Republic of Ireland.  1:1,558,000.
1990.  73 x 61 cm.  A highly artistic view of the topography of the U.K.
Vertical relief may be 1/4 to 3/8 inch.  (our price is $29.95)
 
2)      English Lake District.  1:111,811.  1988.  55 x 43 cm.  Vertical
relief about 1.5 inches.  (our price is $15.95
 
3)      The Peak District.  1:91,186.  1989.  55 x 43 cm.  Vertical relief
about 1.25 inches.  (our price is $15.95)
 
Thinking of raised relief maps, we just got in the small (20 x 20 inches or
so) raised relief map of Russia, and the Iceland raised relief map is back
in print (and in stock).
