     I have a geographic reference question which needs linguistic
     knowledge I lack...
 
     A professor has reference to a geological site in Greece (about 30-40
     K north of Athens in Attica) from a German journal. The name is given
     as BIODRAK. We have searched both GeoNames CD and US BGN Greece
     gazetteers without luck for this spelling (and variations) and feel
     that this spelling is due to transliteration conventions probably not
     used in English.
 
     Are there any Greek or German scholars out there who might have
     insight into the English transliteration of this site?
