The project sounds fascinating, but I am left with one question: were
county and parish boundaries consistent from the beginning of time up to
1850? Presumably there would have been some shifts over the course of
millenia... If they are consistent for a few hundred years, where is the
earlier cut-off (Civil War?  War of the Roses? Norman Conquest? Rome?)?
If there were shifts, are those that can be tracked down being included
in the database?
