The deadline for comments on the Federal Geographic Data Committee's
proposed  Governmental Unit Boundary Data Content Standard is now
extended to April 15, 1999.
 
The Governmental Unit Boundary Data Content Standard will will identify
and provide semantic definitions and rules for utilizing components for
describing governmental unit boundaries.
 
The standard is being proposed by the FGDC's Subcommittee on Cultural
and Demographic Data.
