This message is being cross-posted to MAPS-L and AUTOCAT ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Fellow catalogers, I am seeking interpretation and or clarification on document DCM 19 (Draft Interim Guidelines for Cataloging Electronic Resources). lcweb.loc.gov/catdir/cpso/elec.html My question is whether one may use the one record approach for the following: 1 colored sheet map is photographed as black and white microfilm. The microfilm is then scanned and the image is saved as a jpg which is made accessible from a website. Following the Draft Interim Guidelines for Cataloging Electronic Resources (DCM 19), specifically the definition for Reproduction (pg. 11) and Section 19.4.5.2.2 (pg. 17) would you catalog the sheet map, b&w microfilm and b&w jpeg using the one record approach? Thanks. Paula ******************************************** Paula E.
