About ten years ago we discovered a supplier of these plastic tubes. There
were 3 variations. The one we use most is the 3.5 foot length with a 3-4"
diameter. There is another that is the same but has a 3.5 foot extension you
can adjust as you wish that is attached to the 3.5 foot tube. And the last
one is a 6" diameter, 3.5 foot length that extends. They are for fishing
poles, so check a sporting store for the brand and then contact the supplier
directly. We got about 100 in the original order and they are all still in
very good shape.
